Now that the Matchday 3 action is done and dusted, it is time to find out who has made it into the LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Best XI ahead of the international break.
FC Barcelona are strongly represented in the lineup, with five players in the side including double Player of the Matchday Lionel Messi, who scooped the award on Matchday 1 as well. There is also a strong RC Celta feel to the team, which features three of their charges off the back of an impressive 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid.
Getafe CF shotstopper David Soria gets the nod between the sticks, having made several crucial saves in the team's goalless stalemate against R. Valladolid CF, racking up 14 points in the process.
No defender picked up more points over the weekend than Jordi Alba (15), with the Barcelona full-back grabbing a goal and providing an assist in his side's 8-2 rout of SD Huesca. The Spaniard is joined in the rearguard by Celta duo Gustavo Cabral and Nestor Araujo, both of whom notched 13 points thanks to keeping out Atletico's normally deadly attack, and R. Valladolid's Fernando Calero (12).
The middle of the park and frontline are dominated by a certain Catalan club, with Girona FC's Borja Garcia's (12) imperious display against Villarreal CF earning him a spot alongside Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho (11 each).
There is also room for two more Barcelona stars up top, with Messi named Player of the Matchday once again after registering 21 points thanks to a sublime performance against Huesca in which he bagged a brace and provided two assists, and Luis Suarez (19) also getting his name on the scoresheet twice. The final berth is taken by Celta's Uruguayan striker Maxi Gomez (14), who opened the scoring in the Galician side's triumph over Atletico.
