LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Matchday 22 Best XI

With another round of LaLiga Santander fixtures done and dusted, it's now time to look back at the latest LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Best XI, which is dominated by Real Sociedad and SD Eibar, with four representatives from both clubs, but which also features players from five other teams.

The Player of the Matchday award goes to Eibar midfielder Fabian Orellana. The Chilean scored 21 points after netting a brace and giving a fantastic all-round performance in his side's 5-1 home victory over Sevilla FC.

The chosen goalkeeper in this XI is UD Las Palmas's Leandro Chichizola, who racked up 11 points. The Argentine kept a clean sheet as his team beat Malaga CF 1-0, in what was a six-pointer for the Canary Islanders.

The entire defence is made up of players from Basque clubs. Real Sociedad full-back Aritz Elustondo played a blinder in his side's 5-0 thrashing of RC Deportivo, and scored his first-ever goal for La Real, enough for him to claim 15 points. Eibar defenders make up the rest of the back four – Ivan Ramis, Anaitz Arbilla and Jose Angel Valdes, who scored 12, 16 and 12 points respectively. In addition to putting in solid defensive performances, Arbilla and Ramis were also among the goals, scoring once apiece.

The star of the show in this midfield is the Player of the Matchday, Fabian Orellana, who earned 21 points. He features alongside Asier Illarramendi, whose two goals against Deportivo helped him claim 20 points, and another La Real star, Sergio Canales, who was also on target in this game.

The front three in this LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Matchday 22 Best XI netted a total of four goals between them. La Real striker Willian Jose scored his seventh of the league season against Deportivo, earning him 15 points, Girona FC forward Cristhian Stuani struck twice for his side against Athletic Club, and Gerard Moreno bagged RCD Espanyol's goal in their 1-1 derby draw against FC Barcelona.
