The LaLiga Santander matchday has come to an end and it is time to take a look at this week's LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Best XI, a lineup featuring a large contingent of FC Barcelona players following their superb performance on the weekend.
The Catalan outfit contributes the most players to this XI – four in total – including the Player of the Matchday, Lionel Messi. The Argentine netted a brace in his side's 5-0 victory over Real Betis. His teammates Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suarez line up alongside the top performer of the matchday. Real Madrid also make a significant contribution to the Best XI with three players after their resounding win, while Villarreal CF field two players in the team and Sevilla FC and Athletic Club provide one apiece.

Real Madrid add significant strength to the back line. Nacho (20) and Marcelo (12) kept things tight at the back, but the Madrilenian went one further, netting twice for Los Blancos. They are joined by the Barça centre-back Pique (11 points).
The middle of the park is packed out with Villarreal players. Castillejo (13) and Cheryshev (12) earned their place in the midfield, which also features Sevilla's Pablo Sarabia (13) alongside Rakitic (18).
Leading the line is the Player of the Matchday, Messi (24), with two goals and a standout performance against Betis. He is supported by Suarez (19) and Cristiano Ronaldo (17) to make up a fearsome front three. The Uruguayan netted a brace to help Barcelona win comfortably at the Benito Villamarin (0-5), while Ronaldo also scored twice in Madrid's win over RC Deportivo.
