The LaLiga Santander matchday 12 has come and gone and it is time to take a look at this week's LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Best XI, which features plenty of SD Eibar and Getafe CF players after their great performances on the weekend.
There are more SD Eibar players in the lineup than there are from any other side, with a total of three, while Getafe CF can boast two charges in a team that also features stars from Athletic Club, RC Deportivo, Levante UD, Malaga CF, Valencia CF and FC Barcelona. The Player of the Matchday accolade belongs to Charles, with the Brazilian notching a brace in Eibar's handsome victory over Real Betis.
Athletic goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga gets the nod between the sticks, having produced a standout performance in the 1-1 draw with Villarreal CF, which included a fine penalty save to deny Manu Trigueros.
Eibar, Deportivo and Levante players make up a solid rearguard. David Junca played a starring role in the Basque side's 5-0 demolition of Betis with an assist and posed a constant threat out wide. Despite the Galician outfit's defeat at the hands of Malaga, Fabian Schar produced an admirable defensive display and scored his team's second goal, while Toño was one of the outstanding performers for Levante away to UD Las Palmas.
The midfield is composed of four players who impressed in their respective matches. Ivan Alejo was unplayable for Eibar, Markel Bergara was among the goals against D. Alaves, Geoffrey Kondogbia struck a crucial screamer from long range for Los Che and Chory Castro's fine display was topped off with Malaga's second goal in their win against Deportivo.
It's a hat-trick of braces up front, with a red hot Charles leading the line as the Player of the Matchday, alongside Luis Suarez and Angel. Barcelona's Uruguayan forward was a cut above the rest against CD Leganes, while Getafe striker Angel deservedly retains his place in the Best XI, thanks to his relentless goalscoring form, with D. Alaves his latest victims.
