LALIGA has closed the 2023/2024 season with financial results that reinforce its position as one of the most solid and dynamic football competitions in the world. The organisation recorded all-time highs in revenue, maintained stable debt levels, and further strengthened its financial solvency, all in the context of strong commercial growth and historic stadium attendance figures.
Standardised total revenue reached €5.049 billion, representing a +3.2% increase compared to the previous season. On the commercial side, LALIGA surpassed the €1 billion mark in commercial income for the second consecutive year, driven by new sponsorship and licensing strategies, as well as a growing international presence. This expansion is taking place in parallel with affordable prices being maintained for fans, who once again filled stadiums in record numbers, with 16 million spectators and an average occupancy rate of 75.4%.
Investment remains a key driver in the sustainable development of the Spanish football ecosystem. In this regard, LALIGA continues to lead a historic phase of transformation, with major infrastructure projects and the continued rollout of its accelerated growth strategy thanks to BOOST LALIGA, which continues to develop through the Clubs Office.
Despite a slight increase in senior corporate net debt, which now stands at €1.337 billion, solvency indicators reflect a financially robust organisation. Net equity remains high at €2.240 billion, consolidating the competition’s long-term economic model, which is a benchmark in terms of Financial Fair Play.
Looking ahead to the 2024/2025 season, forecasts predict further improvements in standardised results thanks to organic revenue growth and improved operating margins. This puts LALIGA on track to ‘break even' under financial fair play criteria in the coming year.
Based on these results, LALIGA continues to consolidate its position as a global economic and sporting benchmark, committed to sustainability, investment, and delivering value for its clubs and fans.
