LALIGA and SportBoost launch MEET LALIGA EA SPORTS, the second edition of the innovation programme aimed at startups around the world. The aim of this call is to identify disruptive technological solutions that can break down barriers between the physical and the digital, as well as generate new experiences that strengthen engagement with current and future fans. Immersive training solutions for grassroots football that improve the physical and mental well-being of young talents are also encouraged.

The call will be open until 19th August 2024. All interested companies can apply via this link. The only requirement for submitting a proposal is to have, at the very least, a feasible product. The winning startup will receive a financial contribution of €10,000 to boost its project.

Following this date, a jury composed of experts from SportBoost and LALIGA will carry out an exhaustive analysis of the applications received until 30th September 2024. The selected candidates will then be contacted to participate in the final event of the MEET LALIGA EA SPORTS programme. During this demo day event, the finalists will present their solutions to a jury made up of experts from the sports industry, as well as key players in entrepreneurship. The winner will be announced on-site.

MEET LALIGA, a springboard into the world of sport

LALIGA and SportBoost announced the ‘MEET LALIGA’ project last year. It was aimed at startups from all over the world and sought to find technological solutions that operate under generative artificial intelligence (AI) models to help optimise individual and collective productivity processes; and solutions that are also based on AI to help improve the sports industry.

More than 110 startups from 27 different countries entered the competition, and of these, four were selected as winners and were able to showcase their projects to the MEET LALIGA attendees.

The partnership between LALIGA and SportBoost, a company founded by Iker Casillas, has been in place for more than two years. During this time, both have developed numerous projects with the aim of promoting innovation, technology and entrepreneurship in the world of sport.
