Match Facts:
SD Eibar (9th, 38 pts):
-Eibar are a tough proposition at their Ipurua stadium, where they have picked up 24 points so far this season, 14 more than on the road. Despite being a solid home team, results have not gone their way in their last five games, taking just six points from a possible 15.
-Borja Baston and Takashi Inui are in impressive form and Jota Peleteiro's return to the squad will increase the Basque side's attacking threat for the crucial game against Villarreal.
Villarreal (4th, 54 pts):
-Villarreal CF are in impressive form of late, and enjoying one of their best ever seasons, having come back from two goals down to draw at home to Barcelona in their last LaLiga fixture. The only thing playing against Marcelino Garcia Toral is the significant number of injuries he has to contend with (6).
-"We've earned being where we are," said Samu Castillejo with regards to being fourth in the Liga BBVA table. He also commented on what it is like to play Eibar away. "They're a really tough team. They taught us a tough lesson when they took a point from us earlier in the season. It's a difficult ground to play at, but hopefully, our football and our will to win can deal with all that."
What's on in Eibar this weekend?
Don’t leave Eibar without visiting some of the Basque coast's most picturesque villages, including Getaria, Orio, Zarautz, Aia and Zumaia. Enjoy a visit to all five and pick your favourite. It might be Zumaia, with its two museums and its two beaches. Maybe Getaria - the birthplace of an explorer, Juan Sebastian Elkano, and a fashion designer, Cristobal Balenciaga - for its charming port and its famous "Raton de Getaria" hilltop. It will more likely be Zarautz, the region's most popular tourist village, its longest beach and lots to see. That said, it might be Orio, with its winding streets.
