The La Liga Integrity Department is at the forefront of European football when it comes to fighting against fraud, taking measures against violence and putting a stop to match fixing, which in turn has made it a reference in terms of collaborating with and training other European entities.
A demonstration of this is the presence of Manuel Quintanar on the Israeli Professional Football Leagues (IPFL) board of directors, to whom he gave a presentation about the work being carried out in La Liga by his department.
The meeting, which was held in Tel Aviv, was attended by Yoram Baumann, the president of the Israeli Professional Football Leagues, as well as by representatives from every professional football club in the Hebrew-speaking nation. The two entities signed an agreement to collaborate together and share knowledge with each other about integrity and anti-violence measures.
The Israeli Premier League is looking to evolve by replicating how well established leagues manage and operate within the perimeters of the sport. Additionally, the Israeli institution has displayed a keen interest in tackling the problem of sporting fraud and has used the Spanish La Liga as an example to follow.
The La Liga Director of Integrity, Manuel Quintanar, told the IPFL board of directors about the anti-violence measures that have been adopted and the work being carried out to coordinate with police forces in order to provide security during sporting events. The event also served towards strengthening ties with the Israeli body, as well as with all the professional clubs that make up the IPFL.
