Julio Álvarez's 2014/15 season in the Liga Adelante with CD Numancia
• At 33 years of age Julio Álvarez is experiencing something akin to a second coming. Having spent fifteen years moving between different Liga BBVA clubs, the Venezuelan is now a leader both on and off the pitch for Numancia, where he has took on the role of captain for the whole season and played 34 games.
• With just Óscar González ahead of him, Julio Álvarez got the second highest goals tally by a Liga Adelante midfielder. With 12 goals to his name, the Caracas-born player also broke his own personal record from the 2011-12 season, when he scored ten times, also while with Numancia.
• As well as leading in the scoring charts for the Soria outfit last season, he was also the biggest provider of assists, having set up his team-mates on twelve occasions. As a midfielder with a penchant for organising play, Julio Álvarez, with 1,866 passes to his name, was Numancia's top passer of the ball. He also bagged one of the goals of the season on matchday 30 against UD Las Palmas.
