He turned 39 on July 15, but his charisma, leadership and performance never deplete. After signing his renewal in June, Juanfran Garcia will defend the Levante´s colors for one more year and faces his fifteenth season in La Liga. And all with the same enthusiasm that the first day.
Granota's legend
No doubt Juanfran has become a true living legend of Levante. The great captain live his tenth year as Valencia team player, spread over two stages in which he have lived many of the sweetest moments in club history.
His first stint as Levante's player began in the 1994-95 season with just 18 years old. Two years later, after a promotion to the Liga Adelante, their paths diverged to land in the Valencia CF. After five seasons at RC Celta, two at Real Zaragoza and several experiences in Turkey, the Netherlands and Greece, he returned to his beloved team in 2010.
Since then, the player from Valencia has been the symbol of Levante, which won promotion to Liga BBVA in 2009/10 and a historic qualification for the UEFA Europa League in 2011/12.
Over 300 matches at the top
During his fourteen seasons as a professional footballer, Juanfran accumulated no less than 362 games in Liga BBVA. Incidentally, in the first match of the 2015/16 season he will face Celta, another team that keeps in his heart after 176 games and nine goals as "celeste" player.
