RC Deportivo midfielder Juan Domínguez has been awarded the prize of 'Best Midfielder in the 2013-14 Liga Adelante' at the '2014 LFP Awards Ceremony', coming in ahead of Carlos Pita (CD Lugo) and Sergi Samper (FC Barcelona B) in the voting.
The Galician player was a star of the side's promotion in the 13-14 campaign. The midfielder, who came through the ranks at Abegondo, took the side on his back following Juan Carlos Valerón's departure. The fact he played 39 games, 38 of which as a starter, show the player's quality, while he also scored four times, a facet which is necessary of a player in that area of the pitch.
The growth of the Galician player has been exponential during his time with Depor, despite only being 24, meaning he is a key fixture in the line-up.
"For me it's a genuine pleasure to be here, a sense of pride. Thanks a lot to the coaching staff and my teammates from last season. I also want to thank my friends, my family and my girlfriend", said Juan Domínguez.
