Jesús Vallejo’s 2014/15 season in the Liga Adelante with R. Zaragoza

• Despite his tender age, he is one of the leaders of the Aragon side. At just 18, the academy graduate is the captain of a Zaragoza side that have been the revelation of the season. The side managed by Ranko Popović, guided by their captain, got to the promotion playoff final to the Liga BBVA before losing to UD Las Palmas. Vallejo played in all the matches in the promotion playoffs.

• Vallejo scored his first goal as a professional Zaragoza player last season. It was against CD Tenerife in a meeting that became an uphill task after the hosts had gone in front. The central defender equalised in the 57th minute and allowed his side to salvage a valuable point, key at the end of the season when it came to claiming sixth place.

• In his first year as a Zaragoza player, Vallejo has played a total of 33 games, 29 from the start. He has accumulated 2,678 minutes and 1,059 passes. He is one of the top 10 Zaragoza players when it comes to passes completed over the course of the season.
