The Auditori 1899 at the Camp Nou played host to the closing ceremony of the Safety Seminar that began yesterday in Barcelona. It was attended by Javier Tebas, president of the professional football league, Ana Muñoz, director general of sports for the CSD, Florentino Villabona, General Commissioner for Civil Safety in the National Police amd Lluis Miguel Venteo, safety coordinator at FC Barcelona. The meeting was also attended by Safety Coordinators, representatives of AFEPE, LFP Match Directors and Club Safety Directors.
Ana Muñoz highlighted the importance of the event that was held in Barcelona. "These meetings are interesting for sharing experiences that are not always the norm", and she thanked the state forces and bodies for their work, "your efforts are important so that the sport can be carried out calm". The Director General of Sports stated that "it is true that 30 November marks a before and after point, however the Anti-violence Commission has always worked in favour of the fight against violence".
The Director General of Sports praised the figure of Match Directors created by the professional football league. "They are key agents in the fight against violence in football because thanks to them, we possess the information that is required to propose new steps and propose bans".
The final speech was delivered by Javier Tebas, president of the LFP who called on everyone present to do their part. "They say that La Liga is the best league in the world, but to do that, we have to be a safe league, one that has banished intolerant chants and violence within football. The president ended his intervention by showing the video created in the Salamancan school of Villares de la Reina that joined the campaign "Fans + Respect = Viva football!" undertaken by the LFP.
