Javier Tebas, nominee for 'TV Sports Awards'

LaLiga president, Javier Tebas has been selected as a nominee in the first edition of the 'TV Sports Awards' in the category of 'Best Media Executive'. The nomination of the Spanish executive was appointed by a committee of independent experts to then proceed to an open vote to all users who come to SPORTEL through www.tvsportsawards.org and that will end on Friday 2 October. The award ceremony will take place on Monday, October 12th at the Yacht Club of Monaco.

The category 'Media Executive of the Year' recognizes, among other merits, the maximization of resources, both financial and human, to the highest level for the 2014/15 period , making business decisions with positive results during difficult circumstances, the opening of new revenue for his business, or new product development to generate long-term positive impact for the sports media industry. 

Sponsored by Eurosport and co-organized by SPORTEL and the 'Play For Change' Foundation, these awards have born this year in order to recognize excellence in the sports media industry, in addition to raise funds for education and sports projects that 'Play For Change' performs worldwide. 

The gala will match with SPORTEL annual convention held in the city of the Principality for over 25 years. SPORTEL is the only event that annually brings together the highest-level executives around the world, representatives of sports TV operators, international sports federations, sports marketing agencies, owners and distributors of audiovisual rights, among others.
