Jan Oblak (Skofja Loka, Slovenia, 7 January 1993) has been named the Best Goalkeeper in LaLiga Santander 2015/16, thanks to his sterling displays in a campaign in which he was influential in Atletico Madrid conceding the fewest goals in the league and cemented his status as one of Europe's best shotstoppers.
Oblak only conceded 18 goals in 38 matches and didn't miss a single minute of league action, as Los Colchoneros finished the season with the division's best defensive record. The 23-year-old's impressive combination of reflexes, agility and reliability have made him one of the first names on Diego Simeone's team sheet.
The goalkeeper racked up 82 saves during his 3,420 minutes of playing time throughout the campaign and played a pivotal role in the club's third-placed finish.
