Jaime Mata, LaLiga Santander Player of the Month for February

Getafe CF striker Jaime Mata has been chosen as the February Player of the Month in LaLiga Santander. The Madrid-born striker is enjoying a fine first season at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, and has played a key role in his side's rise to fourth in the standings.

After a goalless draw away to Levante UD at the start of the month, Mata's excellent February form began against RC Celta on Matchday 23. He scored twice and assisted another in a 3-1 win. He was back on the scoresheet a week later in a 2-2 draw away to SD Eibar, and most recently, lead Getafe to a 2-1 derby win against Rayo Vallecano with another goal and assist.

Mata will be presented with the award in front of fans at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez ahead of the match between Getafe CF and SD Huesca this Saturday 9 March at 20:45.
