Isaac Becerra named Liga Adelante Player of the Month for April

Girona FC goalkeeper Isaac Becerra (18 June 1988, Santa Coloma de Gramanet, Barcelona) has been named Liga Adelante Player of the Month for April after being one of the spearheads behind the Catalan side's outstanding recent run of results. 

The Spaniard's consistent performances, which included crucial saves in the 1-1 stalemate against CD Lugo and the1-0 win over D. Alaves, were key in Girona's rise to seventh place, with the club now just a single point away from the play-off positions. Becerra also notched clean sheets against At. Osasuna (0-0), Albacete (3-0) and CD Tenerife (1-0). 

This accolade, which is awarded by BBVA, the competition's main sponsor, and voted for by the LaLiga.es writers, recognises the importance of a shotstopper who has racked up 15 clean sheets in the Liga Adelante so far this season and has been an ever-present in the Girona starting XI.
