Match Facts:

Atletico Madrid (2nd, 64 pts):

- The Rojiblancos continue to chase FC Barcelona. They are making a good fist of it too, having won their last three Liga BBVA games on the bounce, against Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and, most recently, Valencia CF. Indeed, they haven't been beaten since succumbing to Luis Enrique's league leaders.

- Atletico have been boosted by the return of Yannick Ferreira Carrasco just in time for the business end of the season. Last weekend's game against Valencia saw the Belgian winger enjoy his first run-out since shaking off an injury that sidelined him for three matchdays. Introduced in the 68th minute, he gave Diego Simeone's men a second wind and put the match to bed by making it 3-1 in the 85th minute.

Deportivo (13th, 33 pts)

- The Galicians have not been having the best of times lately and are winless since overcoming Eibar 2-0 way back on Matchday 16. In other words, they have gone 12 matchdays without tasting victory. They came agonisingly close to seeing the back of this barren patch last time out, coming from behind twice and then moving into the lead against Malaga CF, only for an Alejandro Arribas own goal at the death to deny them all three points.

- Victor Sanchez is without his most dangerous player for one of the toughest away days in the Liga BBVA calendar, the trip to the Vicente Calderon. Lucas Perez, the club's leading scorer, made a comeback last week and got on the scoresheet. However, the striker's muscle injury flared up and he has been ruled out.
