Real Zaragoza and R. Sporting drew 1-1 in their Liga Adelante matchday 33 meeting. The result changes nothing in terms of the teams’ league positions and the both sides were happy to earn a point each.
With both outfits among the top six sides in the table it was not to be totally unexpected that the game would turn into a frantic encounter full of attacking intent and chances, which provided an action-packed first half of football. Pedro Sánchez, for the Aragon side, and Carlos Carmona, for the Asturians, had the most clear-cut scoring opportunities but the game remained scoreless at the half-time whistle.
Things changed radically after the break as the score went from 0-0 to 1-1 in the space of just two minutes. Albert Dorca put Zaragoza ahead following a free kick from the wing by Pedró Sánchez. However, the home side’s joy was short lived, as Isma López was able to grab an equaliser for Sporting in the 57' with a clean strike from inside the box. A slew of chances following but neither team were able to score a winner and the match ended all square in La Romareda.
