-Since the arrival of Gary Neville to the Valencia’s bench, the team have not been able to get a win in Liga BBVA. The figures from December 13 are of five draws and two defeats. Against Sporting, Valencia have the opportunity to add their first three points in the championship.

-The last Valencia’s victory occurred far from Mestalla. They won in a resounding way at Balaídos against RC Celta. Eleven matchdays later, Neville want to win again.

-Valencia have not lost at home in Liga BBVA this season, securing a total of seven draws and three wins.

-Abelardo's team comes after cutting off a streak of five consecutive defeats. Last weekend, Sporting beat Real Sociedad with a bulky 5-1. The target is to continue on the path of victory and leave the relegation zone.

The Asturian team want to win back away from El Molinon. Their record on the road is of two wins, one draw and eight defeats, the last one against Real Madrid 5-1.

-In the first half of the season, Sporting were defeated by Valencia 0-1 at el Molinón, and the Asturian team hope to repeat that result, 0-1, but this time at Mestalla, to add three important points.

What´s on in Valencia this weekend?

On 30 and 31 January, the Arbor Day is held at Valencia, so it will be a special weekend. On Saturday, citizens can participate in planting 1,400 stems of five species characteristics from the Devesa Forest: 576 Aleppo, 384 "labiérnago", 300 White Pines, 288 Myrtles and 150 Mastics or bushes. And on Sunday the Devesa-Albufera service will have a space in the agro market to be held in the town hall square of Valencia for the celebration of the initiative # LaPlaçaPerAlPoble.
