Sevilla FC drew first blood and then some in their Copa del Rey semi-final tie against RC Celta. Unai Emery's men have every reason to dream heading into the return match after a comfortable 4-0 victory on home turf at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.

The Andalusians came flying out of the traps and immediately had their opponents on the ropes with a number of incursions into the danger zone. Timothee Kolodziejczak, Vitolo and Steven N'Zonzi all tried their luck in the opening exchanges but lacked the poise to beat Ruben Blanco.

The Celta goalkeeper came to the fore once again soon after, flinging himself through the air to stop a Kevin Gameiro penalty. However, he was powerless to prevent Adil Rami's bullet header from rippling his net to make it 1-0 on the stroke of half-time.

Gameiro did not let his head drop after his spot-kick miss and returned from the dressing room intent on making amends. The forward stole the show in the second half with a quick-fire brace in the 59th and 62nd minutes. First the Frenchman raced on to Michael Krohn-Dehli's pass over the top, outmuscling Jonny along the way, before slotting home with aplomb. A few instants later, Gameiro made it 3-0 from another counterattack, on this occasion instigated by Ever Banega.

Celta went all out in their attempts to reduce the deficit, but it was the Sevilla fans who were left celebrating again. That man Krohn-Dehli made no mistake when played through on goal, side-footing past Blanco to seal a 4-0 triumph.
