On 9 April 2015 the Liga de Fútbol Profesional, along with the Portuguese League will hold the Forum "TPO: A road to a sustainable and competitive future in world football" in the Eurostars Hotel in Madrid in order to discuss topics relating to the regulation of third-party ownership and the financial rights of footballers.
Javier Gómez, General Director of the LFP, will kick off the proceedings at the Forum, which will be made up of three parts. The first of these will deal with 'The key to maintaining competitiveness in world football', a meeting that will be moderated by the journalists Juan Ignacio Gallardo (Diario Marca) and Joan Vehils (Diario Sport), and will also include the presence of the Atlético Madrid chief executive: Miguel Ángel Gil.
In the second part of the forum the subject matter will focus on the 'Regulation vs. prohibition: a financial model for clubs'. This will be led by the journalists Santi Nolla (Diario Mundo Deportivo) and Alfredo Relaño (Diario AS), and among the list of attendees will be Sevilla FC’s Jesús Arroyo. To draw a curtain on the three meetings, the forum will then discuss 'From the streets to the big time. The role of third-party ownership in the careers of footballers'.
This seminar, wich could be seen on LFP.es, will be attended by various representatives from Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Brazilian teams, and will also be presided over by Javier Tebas, the president of the Liga de Fútbol Profesional, and Luis Duque, his counterpart from the Portuguese League, both of whom will conclude the meeting.
