  • Know the facts, trivia and the best anecdotes of Tenerife´s home ground
    It was opened on July 25, 1925 with a match between CD Tenerife and Marino de las Palmas. The match ended in victory 2-1 for the "tinerfeños" and Pascual scored the first goal.
  • It began with the name of "Stadium", until the change to Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez was approved in 1950 in recognition of who was president of the club and precursor of the full remodeling of the stadium.
  • Grass was not placed until the August 31, 1952. Until then, the pitch of the Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez was made of clay and even sometimes was used as a racetrack.
  • On September 15, 1993 hosted the first European match in Tenerife´s history. The "canario" team, taking part for the first time in the UEFA Cup, drew 2-2 against AJ Auxerre with goals from Pinilla and Felipe Miñambres.
  • On July 25, 2015 celebrated its 90th anniversary and, therefore, the season tickets have a classic image of the stadium at front.
