- The club was founded just 11 years ago, in 2009. It came into existence through Club Deportivo Varea, a historic team from the Varea neighbourhood of Logroño, which was founded in 1967.
- They play their home matches at the Estadio Las Gaunas, which was inaugurated in 2002. They groundshare with EDF Logroño who play in the Primera Iberdrola.
- Players such as Sergio Reguilon, Manu Garcia, Quique Gonzalez and Diego Cervero have represented the club in the past.
- The La Rioja flag, landmarks in the region such as the Clavijo and San Andres crosses and Logroño’s Puente de Piedra, as well as a football appear on the club's badge.
- Following 11 seasons competing in Segunda B, the 2020/21 season will be their first in professional football.
