- The current stadium was opened in 1977 as a replacement for the club's old home on Carrer d'Antoni Gaudi, where they had begun playing in 1927.
- The ground has been renamed on a few occasions. It was originally called the Camp Nou (New Field), before becoming the Camp Nou Municipal (Municipal New Field) from 1984 to 2005. Since 2005 it has been known as the Estadi Municipal de Reus (Reus Municipal Stadium).
- The site also features an artificial-turf pitch and a second natural-grass pitch that is regularly used for rugby.
- The stadium is all set to witness professional football for the first time this coming season, following CF Reus Deportiu's historic promotion to LaLiga2.
- Reus only lost twice at the Estadi Municipal last term. Hercules CF and UE Cornella were the only visiting teams who came away with three points.
