  • Elche CF are known as the Franjiverdes because of the green stripe across the kit, which was originally the wish of Anton Fivber, one of the club's first ever coaches. The Czech was the driving force behind the introduction of a green stripe on what had previously been a plain white jersey, with the addition becoming a key part of the club's identity over time.
  • The club plays its home games at the Estadio Martinez Valero, which hosted three games during the 1982 World Cup, including a competition-record winning margin which was set by Hungary in a 10-1 thrashing ofEl Salvador.
  • Elche have won LaLiga 1|2|3 twice: firstly in 1958/59 and more recently in 2012/13, which was the last time that the club clinched promotion to LaLiga Santander.
  • Nino is Elche's LaLiga 1|2|3 record appearance holder, with the striker still on the club's books today. The 38-year-old already knows what it is like to be the top goalscorer in LaLiga 1|2|3, a feat which he achieved with CD Tenerife.
  • Vava is another legendary striker in the club's history, having finished as the top goalscorer in Spain's top flight in 1965/66, and the Spaniard also represented his country at senior international level.
