Five things you didn't know about Marco Asensio

• Football is not his only passion. In his spare time he finds time to play tennis or golf and outside the sport, is also fond of poker.

• All his goals have a very special dedication. His mother, of Dutch origin, died in 2011 and is always in Asensio´s memory every time he beats a rival's goalie.

• When he was eight he played in the CF Playas de Calvia, where he already stood out as a very skilled and unbalancing player.

• Soon, caught the attention of Clemente Marin, a RCD Mallorca scout who signed him for the U-18 of the "Bermellón" club. In the team from Baleares he grew up by leaps and bounds getting to make debut with the first team with just 17 years.

• He was always the first to arrive at the training sessions of Mallorca, since his father used to take him by car before leaving for work in a supermarket.
