Matches between FC Barcelona and Valencia CF have provided some truly memorable moments in recent years, with incredible goals, spectacular comebacks and sumptuous performances leaving supporters of both clubs speechless. We take a look back at five of the very best:

/97. FC Barcelona 3-2 Valencia CF The clash between the teams in 1996/97 was decided by a stellar performance by Ronaldo Nazario. The Brazilian struck a phenomenal hat-trick, including two mesmerising solo runs from midfield in which he breezed past several opposition players before finishing with aplomb, to hand Barcelona victory.

/98. FC Barcelona 3-4 Valencia CF In the 1997/98 season Claudio Ranieri's Valencia masterminded one of the great Liga BBVA comebacks at the Camp Nou. The away side found  Barcelona coach Luis Enrique opened the scoring, Rivaldo made it two and Fernando Caceres netted an own goal. The match turned around quickly, however, with Guillermo Morigi cutting the arrears, before Claudio Lopez struck a brace to make it 3-3. None other than Ariel Ortega popped up in stoppage time to clinch a dramatic, last-gasp win for Los Che.

/01. FC Barcelona 3-2 Valencia CF Time was all but up on the 2000/01 Liga BBVA campaign and Barcelona were being held to a 2-2 draw by Valencia in a match they needed to win to secure their place in the Champions League the following season. Rivaldo, who had scored both of his side's goals, conjured up a stunning bicycle kick from the edge of the penalty area in the 87th minute to seal victory for Los Azulgranas and book their place in Europe's premier club competition.

/03. FC Barcelona 2-4 Valencia CF Valencia left the Catalan capital with all three points in 2002-03 after one of their finest displays at the Camp Nou. Rafael Benitez's side surged into a 4-1 lead with goals by Pablo Aimar, John Carew, Fabio Aurelio and Rufete, who struck a beauty. Valencia would go on to end the season in fifth, one place ahead of Barcelona in sixth.

/12. FC Barcelona 5-1 Valencia CF Another Liga BBVA star who has also left his mark on this fixture, Lionel Messi, was the driving force behind a 5-1 thumping of Valencia four seasons ago. Unai Emery's troops took an early lead through Pablo Piatti, but his countryman's response was loud and clear. The striker struck four goals without reply to secure the win, before Xavi Hernandez added extra gloss to the scoreline in stoppage time.ç
