At. Osasuna - R. Sporting (El Sadar, midday CET)
Two historic sides in Spanish football face one another in Navarra with very different aims. The home side are not going through their best form, and will aiming to put an end to a winless run of seven games during which they have only taken one point. To do so, they must go into the game without Javad Nekounam and José García, both of whom are banned. Oier Sanjurjo, Osasuna player, is aware of the situation and expressed it in the following terms: "The team needs a win urgently".
Sporting are in a much more comfortable situation, after going top of the table, equal on points with R. Betis B. Abelardo Fernández' men will be without Juan Muñiz for the game as the player must serve his one match ban.
CD Mirandés - Girona FC (Estadio Municipal de Anduva, 5pm CET)
In Anduva, the side from Burgos will host a Catalan side who are aiming to obtain promotion to the Liga BBVA after many seasons flirting with glory. The home side have a draw and a win from their last two outings and because of that they will hoping to keep up their form against a side who have only won one of their last five matches (two draws, two defeats).
Pedro Martín will be unavailable for the home side as he is serving a one match suspensión, while Pablo Machín, the visiting manager, is without Florian Lejeune and Pablo Íñiguez. "We are going with the conviction that we can win in Anduva or in any other pitch", stated Machín.
Real Zaragoza - AD Alcorcón (La Romareda, 6.15pm)
The dream of Real Zaragoza to return to the elite ranks of Spanish football is in their hands, as at the moment they are in the last play-off place. Zaragoza will host an Alcorcón side who are enjoying a good run of form as they are undefeated in the last five games.
The Aragonese side must go into this game with two confirmed injuries, one of which could really affect them, their leading scorer Borja Bastón, due to a ban. Lolo, for the home side, will also be unavailable for Ranko Popović. "I am expecting to see a great atmosphere at La Romareda and offer our fans something. Show them a good performance so we can get them on our side", stated the home coach.
FC Barcelona B - CD Tenerife (Miniestadi, 7pm CET)
A game of opposites. That is how the game between Barcelona B and Tenerife could be classified, despite the fact that both teams are caught up in the relegation battle. The home side have lost their way in the competition and are second last in the tables, while the island side are undefeated in six matches in the Liga Adelante.
Jorid Vinyals will go into this game with injuries to Frank Bagnack and Adrián Ortolá, both due to bans, while the Tenerife side will not have the Venezuelan goalkeeper Dani Hernández in the squad as he is away on international duty. "This is the first of 14 remaining finals", revealed Vinyals in a press conference.
CE Sabadell - RCD Mallorca (Nova Creu Alta, 7pm CET)
The fight for survival in the Liga Adelante will also see some dramatic moments at the Nova Creu Alta when Sabadell take on Mallorca. Sabadell have drawn three games in a row and are last in the table, while Mallorca have not been unable to take any points from their last two games.
Juan Carlos Mandiá, the home manager, praised the attitude of his side and said that they have "lots of possibilities of winning", something that he said was an "obligation". In turn, Mallorca coach, Miquel Soler, bet on the ambition of his squad members. "We have to be ambitious ahead of the next game in order to get the three points that we did not manage the other day". Joan Truyols and Bigas are unavailable for the visitors.
