Evan Dimas, RCD Espanyol B's Indonesian player spent a day with some Barcelona-based compatriots. During their time with the footballer, the party were given a tour of RCD Espanyol's Dani Jarque training complex before attending the Liga BBVA clash between Espanyol and RC Deportivo at the RCDE Stadium.
Amongst those who had the opportunity to spend a day with Dimas - whose move to the Catalan club has generated no little interest in his homeland - were members of the Indonesian consulate in Barcelona, figures from the city's Indonesian business community and various others with ties to the Asian country.
The group were shown around the Dani Jarque training complex, which is where both the Espanyol first team and Dimas' reserve team train. After chatting with various of his compatriots, the player asked about the levels of interest in LaLiga and its players back home as well as bringing up the subject of the cultural differences between Indonesia and Spain.
The day was rounded off by taking in the first team's win over Deportivo. The party enjoyed the match atmosphere and the surroundings at the RCDE Stadium, which is one of the most modern and welcoming in LaLiga.
