Evan Dimas made the most of Espanyol B's day off by visiting Antoni Gaudi’s most emblematic buildings. The player has taken an interest in the architect, who was the greatest exponent of Catalan modernism. His first stop of the day was the Sagrada Familia church, where he took in the original architecture.
He continued his tour with a visit to the Passeig de Gracia, where he admired La Pedrera and Casa Batllo, both by Gaudi, and he concluded his trip around the city by savouring one of the region’s specialties, paella.
The player, who is one of Indonesia’s brightest talents, has joined Espanyol B’s training sessions to exercise and familiarise himself with the working methods of the club. Evan Dimas is the first player to be selected as part of the LaLiga Global project, which oversees actions to promote and develop the global LaLiga brand. This includes supporting footballers from other countries by granting outstanding players the opportunity to develop their abilities in the best possible environment.
With this project, LaLiga is seeking to support the development of young talents in different regions around the world, placing a special emphasis on future promises from each of the countries involved. Evan Dimas is the first of many players who will form part of this project, through which they will visit top clubs in Spain to discover how they work and train.
