Espanyol touch down in Bolivia amid much excitement

RCD Espanyol touched down in Santa Cruz de la Sierra on Wednesday as part of a short stay in Bolivia through LaLiga World, one of LaLiga's most ambitious projects which aims to promote and raise the profile of Spanish football overseas. 

After a long journey, the Espanyol players were greeted at Viru Viru International Airport by various Bolivian media representatives and were then whisked off to their hotel with a Bolivian police escort in a demonstration of the high levels of anticipation surrounding Constantin Galca's side's arrival in the South American country.

This post-season adventure will include a preparatory training session at the Ramon Tahuichi Aguilera Stadium for the Catalan outfit, before taking on Club Blooming and Club Bolivar in friendly matches.
