The second Spain Experience match on the Asian Swing of the LFP World Challenge brought together more than 170 local and Spanish businessmen based in Malaysia. The Kuala Lumpur match was a perfect opportunity to maintain business relationships between the two countries.
Spain’s ambassador in Malaysia and Brunei, María Bassols, headed the Spanish representation at the event. To Bassols, "sport in general, and especially football, provide an excellent means to strengthen relationships between countries and in Malaysia Spanish football is hugely popular".
Augusto César Lendoiro took the floor after Bassols. The LFP World Challenge reminded those present that "through the LFP, ICEX and Marca España, Spanish companies should use football to reach any corner of the world where they may have commercial opportunities, and the most competitive companies in the world should be convinced that Spain is a great country for generating business ".
The president of Sevilla FC, who arrived in Malaysia yesterday, stated that "it is of great pride to represent our country, Marca España and the Liga BBVA, the best league in the world. As current Europa League champions, Sevilla FC is up to the demands that come with representing Marca España and it will always do so to the benefit of companies in our country".
