As they do every week, football fans have a chance to watch on La Liga TV, regardless of their geographic location and completely free of charge, the best matches on Liga Adelante matchday nine.

The excitement starts on Saturday 18 October with the clash between Real Valladolid CF, who lie in second place in the table, and SD Ponferradina (16:00). Both teams come into the match high on confidence after their wins last week over CD Numancia (0-1) and CD Mirandés (1-0) respectively.

At 18:00, Mirandés and Albacete B. meet in a game in which both sides are in need of points to escape the danger zone. At the same time Deportivo Alavés take on CD Lugo. The Galicians travel to the Estadio de Mendizorroza on form after five consecutive matches with positive results, while the Basque outfit are looking to bounce back from their defeat to RCD Mallorca.

After this match, the Liga Adelante leaders, Girona CF, will travel to the Estadio Nova Creu Alta in search of three points that would keep them at the top, and they will do so against a CE Sabadell who have just won two matches on the trot. Also at 20:00, At. Osasuna, with 8 points, and CD Tenerife, with 7, square off in a match that is sure to be tight.

UE Llagostera - RCD Mallorca will open Sunday’s play on Liga TV at 17:00. The Catalan side are undefeated since 20 September and will therefore be looking for three points against an opponent who are yet to really get started in the championship.

The other two matches that will be broadcast on La Liga’s official channel are: UD Las Palmas - CD Numancia (19:00) and FC Barcelona B - AD Alcorcón (21:00). The Canary Islanders are looking to rediscover their form from early in the season against a Numancia who, like their opponents, have not won for three matches. For their part, the side from the capital will visit the Miniestadi, where the Catalans have only won twice this season.
