Eibar show off at Ipurua

Eibar played a lot better during the first half and it was shown on the score in the final ten minutes. This was, in great part, thanks to Keko. The footballer from Madrid was a knife down the right wing, were his electricity and runs stood out in his two assists. First he passed the ball to Inui, for the Japanese to bury into the back of the net with a first touch. Later, he connected with Sergi Enrich, who scored the 2-0 with great skill.

Granada wake-up call

Granada made two substitutions at the start of the second half aiming to come back in the clash. Fran Rico came on for Ruben Perez and Youssef El Arabi did the same for Uche. It was the Moroccan striker who took the leading role for his team, reducing the difference after Adalberto Peñaranda’s assist inside the box.

Quick Basque reply

Eibar didn’t get scared after the 2-1. Mendilibar’s men, actually, were able to reply quickly and got rid of any away hope, scoring the 3-1 in the 68th minute. The man in charge of doing so was Sergi Enrich once again, who made the most of Borja Baston’s assist striking fiercely from outside the box.

Goal feast

Eibar’s top goal scorer Borja Baston didn’t want to miss the chance to extend his personal record. Following the third goal by Enrich, the Madrid striker made the crowd go crazy with two goals in five minutes, between the 74th and the 79th. First, he scored after a bad clearance by Andres Fernandez, and then he finished a great individual play by Enrich to leave the final 5-1.

Strong at home

Eibar keeps showing their strength at Ipurua, were they have only lost two games all season. 21 out of their 33 points have come in front of their supporters, who continue dreaming with a historic deed.
