Duda rescues a point for Málaga

RCD Espanyol and Málaga CF drew 2-2 in an attractive and even encounter full of excitement until the final minute.

The early stages of the game were relaxed, with nothing like the intensity that it would reach as the minutes went by. At a slow and steady pace, the Catalan side looked more comfortable and started to reach Carlos Kameni’s goal regularly. The keeper made a great save to keep out the home side’s midfielder Víctor Sánchez. Moments later, some great individual play from Sergio García, who linked up masterfully with Felipe Caicedo, led to a goal by the Columbian footballer.

In the second half, with Nourredine Amrabat entering the field, Málaga were buoyed and created more chances. From a corner, a true Ignacio Camacho speciality, the Aragonese player scored the goal that made it 1-1. From then on, the Blanquiazules took control of the game and went on the attack in search of the goal that would earn them the three points. In the final stages of the encounter, Stuani made it 2-1 with his head to momentarily seal the victory for his team, but Espanyol were denied their win when midfielder Duda scored a masterful free kick into the top corner in the 93rd minute, allowing Málaga to travel home from Barcelona with a point.
