Real Madrid host Granada CF on matchday 29 in the Liga BBVA in a match in which both teams will be looking for the points for contrasting reasons. Los Blancos, on 64 points, are four points off league leaders Barcelona after the defeat to the Catalans in the Clásico. Granada meanwhile are 19th in the table, on 23 points, and will be looking to move away from the drop zone.

Carlo Ancelotti will have to make do without Isco Alarcón as he is suspended, while Pepe cannot play either, due to injury, and the Italian has left Dani Carvajal and Sami Khedira out of his squad for the game. Sulayman Marreh, Adrián Colunga, Lass Bangoura, Rubén Pérez and Emanuel Mariano Insúa meanwhile will all miss the trip to the capital due to injury.

Abel Resino insisted his side “cannot go to Madrid with any fear” and said he hoped to meet “a Madrid side still feeling the effects from their international matches”. His opposite number Carlo Ancelotti said his team needed to “try to win the final 10 games of the season”, a mission which begins this Sunday against Granada.
