AD Alcorcón are back to winning ways after a 2-0 victory over At. Osasuna on the 8th matchday of the Liga Adelante. David Rodríguez was the hero of the game as he scored both of the team’s goals, the second of which was sublime.
Alcorcón’s first-half performance in Santo Domingo can be summed up with one word; efficiency. Inspired by a supreme David Rodríguez, the Alfareros had Osasuna against the ropes and they struggled to respond. Only two minutes had been played when Rodríguez found the back of the net to send the home fans into raptures. The goal woke the visitors from their slumber, but it was the side from the capital who scored again with an astonishing strike from the forward from Toledo.
The second half proved to be a formality. Osasuna found themselves a man down shortly after the restart, hampering their attempts to get back into the game. The Alfareros were able to hold on to their lead and the afternoon’s goalscorer came very close to sealing his hat-trick, giving them their second win in three matches, the points from which catapult them into the top ten in the standings.
