RCD Mallorca 1-0 AD Alcorcón

Fernando Vazquez could not have started his stint as coach of the Balearic squad better. Thanks to a penalty goal by Michael Pereira, his team was able to break out of a streak of five matches without a win, gaining three valuable points, as well as a little breathing space and distance from the relegation zone.

Girona FC 2-1 Bilbao Athletic

A header from Florian Lejeune's lit up the scoreboard in favor of Girona Montilivi at the 22nd minute of play. Although the Basques scored an equaliser with a direct free kick from Aketxe, the Catalans managed to break the deadlock with five minutes to go until the final whistle. This was thanks to a bull's eye from Borja Bastón, who slipped into the heart of the area to score with a shot from his left foot.

Deportivo Alavés 1- 0 SD Huesca

The team from Vitoria keeps piling on the wins. This time it was a very special day, because the Basques were able to celebrate their 95th anniversary with three new points. To get this done, José Bordalás's boys got the best of a seasoned Huesca side thanks to a goal by Manu Barreiro at the 21st minute.

CD Lugo 2-2 Real Oviedo

The game could not have started better for the Asturian side, who put a 0-2 score on the board in just eight minutes. First Borja Valle and then Toché managed to surprise Lugo. However, Luis Milla's team stayed firm and managed to equalise; Carlos Hernández gave his side some hope at the 38th minute and Jonathan Pereira, at the 44th, brought the draw home for his team.

CD Leganés 2-1 UD Almería

The Madrid side are still unbeaten at the Butarque Municipal Stadium, where they have already played 12 games. Asier Garitano's players claimed their seventh home win in excellent form, even though they already had a two-goal advantage after Szymanowski and Mantovani's well executed footwork. Quique González shortened the lead for Almeria right at the beginning of the second half, but Leganés then made sure to slam the breaks on the visitors' comeback.

R. Valladolid 2-0 Córdoba CF

Valladolid wanted to secure the win as soon as possible and came onto the field like a hurricane. The first goal came at the 4th minute from the boots of Manu del Moral, while the second was the work of Marcelo Silva, just seven minutes later. With this lead, Miguel Ángel Portugal's side slowed the pace in the second half and this gave the Andalusians a few more chances. Their goal, however, did not arrive and Valladolid claimed their second consecutive victory in 2016, as well as beating Cordoba's personal 'average'.

CD Tenerife 0-0 CD Numancia

Split points at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium in a match in which the home side could have got ahead at the beginning, but were unable to find the net. A fiercely contested match by both teams with great pace in the final moments, but in which neither side managed to move the marker.

Albacete Balompié 1-1 Nàstic de Tarragona

Jona brought joy to the home crowd when, after halftime, he successfully converted a penalty. Adrià Carmona felled Iago Bouzón and Albacete managed to get ahead on the scoreboard. But after ten minutes, Stephane Emaná and Palanca cooked up a piece of play that ended up in the Cameroonian's net. This is the second day on which Achille's brother got the goal, rescuing a point at Carlos Belmonte.

Real Zaragoza 1-2 CD Mirandés

CD Mirandés had to score twice to take away the three points. Eguaras took the lead against the visiting side, but Ángel, before halftime, equalised at La Romareda. However, Carlos Terrazas's team would not back down and Álex García made the final score 1-2.

Elche CF 1-0 SD Ponferradina

Fans had to wait 78 minutes to see a goal, which, when it came, was from the boots of Sergio León. A left-wing cross sped across the area until it found the Elche side's football player, sealing Elche CF's second consecutive victory and seventh straight game without losing. For its part, Ponferradina, who have not won since Round 16, are getting dangerously close to the lower end of the table
