Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo was the Liga BBVA’s top goalscorer for the 2014-15 season with 48 goals. The Portugal international achieved his third top scorers award following previous successes in 2010-11 and 2013-14.
The forward scored almost all of his goals with his right foot this season. 29 of his strikes came from his natural foot. Ronaldo, who has improved his numbers with his head, scored 12 headers and the six remaining goals came with his left foot. He also notched up 43 from inside the box and only five from outside.
The Real Madrid player also achieved his best ever number as top scorer. The previous was 46 in the 2011-12 season. Barcelona’s Leo Messi was runner up this season after scoring twice on the final day to ensure he had 43 for the season, but was just unable to catch the Portuguese.
Meanwhile, Neymar and Antoine Griezmann of Atlético Madrid, finished level on 22 goals, while Carlos Bacca came fifth with 20.
