Liga BBVA team UD Almería's player, Miguel Ángel Corona, will be out for four weeks with a "ruptured semitendinosus muscle in his right leg", according to the Andalusian club's website.
The player from Talavera de la Reina picked up the injury from a knock in Tuesday's training session and is expecting to start his recovery plan on Wednesday.
The club's medical staff have not ruled out a return to the field for the player before the Christmas break, saying that it "will depend on how the player progresses".
