Everything is ready for the start of an exciting new football season. The draw for the 2015/16 calendar has established which teams will compete against eachother for the first games of a competition that is set to begin next 22 of August and which promises more football and better matches than ever.
Twenty teams from Liga BBVA have their dreams set on this first round of 10 games that promise to deliver passionate duels with the sole aim of victory.
The reigning champions, FC Barcelona, kick off the competition playing away from home against Athletic Club. This coming match comes close on the heels of their recent confrontation in the Supercopa de España. The second-placed team in Liga BBVA, Real Madrid, will take on R. Sporting de Gijon in the mythical El Molinón stadium.
Another of the recently promoted teams, UD Las Palmas, will debut in the tournament in the Vicente Calderón stadium playing against Atlético de Madrid; Real Betis will put themselves to the test in their own stadium against Villarreal CF.
One of the games that most stands out in these early days of the calendar is the Andalusian derby that will see the UEFA Europa League champion Málaga CF take on Sevilla FC.
