Granada strong start
The Andalusian team dominated at first putting pressure on the visitors area, but without creating real danger on Celta’s goal. Alberto Peñaranda was the outstanding player for Jose Ramon Sandoval’s side, showing excellent skill and confidence at Nuevo Los Carmenes.
Celta respond
The Galicians weathered the storm. Iago Aspas played the ball through to Señe, who fed Orellana perfectly for him to push the ball into the back of the net. The Chilean scored his fifth goal of the season and led the way for the away victory.
Aspas extends the lead
Orellana’s goal gave Celta wings and they grew as the minutes went past. Furthermore, Eduardo Berrizzo’s men increased their advantage just before halftime. This time Jonny was the man in charge of running down the wing and assisting Iago Aspas, who netted the second.
Setback for Sandoval
In the second half the Granada manager had to continue without one of his most decisive players: Ruben Rochina. The Valencian midfielder took a blow to the shoulder which forced him off in the 67th minute, with Uche taking over.
Celta shine on the road
The Galician club has performed amazingly away from Balaidos, with five victories, two draws and a defeat against RC Deportivo. In total, Celta have earned 17 points on the road.
