Team News:

Malaga CF: Carlos Kameni and Roque Santa Cruz (both injured).

RCD Espanyol: Anaitz Arbilla (injured)

Match Facts: Malaga (8th, 39 pts):

- Following the international break, Malaga return to LaLiga duty by playing host to Espanyol, against whom they will be hoping to build on consecutive wins over Real Betis and R. Sporting. Javi Gracia's side are in buoyant spirits and are dreaming of mounting a late assault on the European spots.

- Ignacio Camacho has been at the heart of everything good about his team as of late. Before the central midfielder's return from injury, the Andalusians had amassed 14 points in their first 15 league matches, scoring just nine goals and conceding 14. Since his comeback, they have racked up 25 out of a possible 45 points, his presence in the middle of the park providing a platform for them to be more productive going forward. In this second 15-game spell (from Matchday 16 to 30), they netted 20 times, while again letting in 14.

Espanyol (13th, 35 pts):

- The Catalans are enjoying their best run of the season, having won three of their last five fixtures to rise up into mid-table.

- Marco Asensio, a key cog in Constantin Galca's system, has stepped up his game and begun to exert an increasing influence. The same can be said of target man Felipe Caicedo, whose strike at home to Athletic Club last time out ensured that the points stayed at the RCDE Stadium.

What's on in Malaga this weekend? There's never a bad time to visit the spectacular Alcazaba, a fortress located at the foot of Mount Gibralfaro, by the Roman Theatre. Built on the remains of an ancient Phoenician stronghold, this impressive structure features delightful courtyards and fountains, not to mention towering walls from which you can admire stunning views of the city.
