The game of Liga BBVA's matchday 10 between RCD Espanyol and Granada CF ended with a sharing of points after the 1-1 result. The Andalusians got its fourth consecutive draw, while Sergio Gonzalez´s team keeps adding points.
Espanyol from least to most
Although the "Nazarí" team began the match more strongly and created more chances than its rival, the "Periquitos" came up as the minutes were passing by and went into the half time break after having had clear chances near the opponent´s area. Duarte had the first and joined the attack on every play of Sergio Gonzalez's team.
Granada's key in midfield
The strength that the Andalusians put in midfield helped them to master the ball and take control of the most dangerous players of Espanyol, Felipe Caicedo and Marco Asensio. It was achieved in the first half, because it was the Granada who took the top of the game.
Babín-Piti connection
A header by the French from Piti's free kick struck the first goal for the Andalusians, who managed to take over of a game that, until then was fairly open. The defender, once again, joined the attack and showed that he has a striker soul.
Espanyol´s response
Espanyol was wounded in its pride and responded with a similar move in which a header from Pape Diop could change the course of the clash, but Andrés Fernández made a good save. That was the best chance of the home team in the second half.
Caicedo scored in injury time
Another matchday that Granada let again a point on the road in added time and in this occasion, after a tangled move. Caicedo pushed the ball to rescue a point and put the 1-1 on the Power8 Stadium scoreboard.
