With the unbeatable views of the city of Bilbao providing the backdrop, a new chapter of the #LigaBBVAExperience has kicked off today, Monday, with the Basque city hosting the event this week. Thanks to LaLiga and to Supersport and PPTV – the international broadcasters which air the competition – nine fans have travelled from South Africa and China to experience the local culture, cuisine and tourist attractions, promising some memorable moments. Their journey will culminate with the match between Athletic Club and Atletico Madrid.
It will be a trip full of surprises, and they began as soon as the LaLiga fans arrived in the Basque city. The first thrill came when they checked into the hotel. Waiting for them on their beds in their rooms was a welcome pack with personalised Athletic shirts, scarves and everything else they need to enjoy the matchday as LaLiga fans.
"It was a real surprise for us. We can't wait to enjoy these few days. It's going to be incredible," assured the fans who won the respective prize draws organised by PPTV and Supersport. The initial contact concluded with a group dinner which allowed the lucky winners to begin sharing their emotions regarding an experience which has got off to a perfect start.
Bilbao comprises the latest venue for the #LigaBBVAExperience, an international project through which LaLiga is seeking to continue its global expansion and bring fans from around the world closer to the greatest competition on the planet.
