Real Valladolid CF beat CD Numancia 0-1 on matchday eight of the Liga Adelante. A Zakarya Bergdich goal wrapped up all three points for a Castile and León side that had finished its last two games all square.
Numancia had numerous chances to score but were unable to finish any off. Among their opportunities to breach the opponents’ net was a Braian Rodríguez header in the seventh minute that came off the post. Valladolid started to look more dangerous on the break and that is how the eventually got the only goal of the game. Johan Mojica used his pace to create enough space to send a cross into Bergdich who made it 0-1 in the 31st minute.
The Valladolid players had a few chances to extend their lead through Bergich at the beginning of the second half, but as the minutes rolled by the home side began to take control of the match, although they were unable to capitalise on their good play. With this defeat, Juan Antonion Anquela’s side has now lost three games at home this season. Meanwhile, Joan Ferrer’s men climb into second, level on points with Girona FC (17).
