Villarreal CF 1-0 SS Napoli
Denis Suarez made the difference at the Madrigal striking a superb freekick just under the bar eight minutes from time. The player on loan from Barcelona had been his side’s brightest performer and his strike proved too powerful for returning goalkeeper Pepe Reina who got his hand to the ball. The Spanish international spent three seasons at the Madrigal before moving on 11 years ago. The Yellow Submarine's bad news of the night was when Jonathan Dos Santos suffered an injury and had to be carried off on a stretcher with what looked like a hamstring problem.
Sevilla FC 3-0 Molde
The Europa League holders proved too strong for the Norwegians romping to victory at their fortress the Sanchez Pizjuan, where they have racked up 14 consecutive wins in all competitions. Forward Fernando Llorente struck either side of half-time and French striker Kevin Gameiro wrapped up the scoring late on.

Olympique Marseille 0-1 Athletic Club
The tie will be decided at San Mames, but Athletic struck a valuable away goal when leading scorer Aritz Aduriz volleyed in from outside the area in a tight game in France.
Valencia 6-0 Rapid Vienna
Santi Mina was the star of the show as he helped Gary Neville’s side to a 5-0 first half scoreline scoring two and setting up another three. The former RC Celta striker stabbed in the opener from close range, and set up Dani Parejo for the second. Again, a six-yard box finish earned him his double on the night, and then he set set up Alvaro Negredo for number four with a great run down the right flank. He laid on the fifth for Andre Gomes just before the break as Valencia became the first side ever to score five in the first half of the Europa League match. Substitute Rodrigo bagged a sixth at the end.
