The Copa del Rey now has its first semifinalist; FC Barcelona. Luis Enrique's side, who won the first leg 1-0, took the spoils 2-3 at the Vicente Calderón. Their opponents in the last four will be the winner of Getafe CF versus Villarreal CF.
The first half was vibrant; with less than a minute gone Fernando Torres levelled the tie overall from the edge of the box. The home side's joy was short lived, however, as in minute 9' Neymar put the Catalan side ahead on aggregate. On the half hour mark Raúl García put the Rojiblancos ahead on the night from the penalty spot.
As with the first goal, Barcelona did not take long to even things up on the night again as João Miranda turned the ball into his own net from a corner. In minute number 40' Neymar scored his second of the game to make it 2-3.
Leading the tie, Barcelona controlled the possession in a second half that saw few clear cut chances. One of the few came to Cani, who was denied in spectacular fashion by Ter Stegen. The full time whistle blew and Barcelona went through 4-2 on aggregate to earn a tie against the winner of Getafe CF-Villarreal CF for a place in the final.
