- Atletico Madrid: Tiago, Jose Maria Gimenez, Oliver Torres and Stefan Savić (injured)

Match Facts:

 RCD Espanyol (13th, 36 pts):

- Constantin Galca's charges have succeeded in placing an eight-point cushion between themselves and the drop zone after putting together a four-game unbeaten run.

- Espanyol have won three of their last four home games, whilst 25 of the 36 points that they have picked up so far this term have come on home soil.

- Galca oversaw just one victory in his first nine games in charge, but following on from this poor start, the seven subsequent games have seen the Romanian coach lead the Periquitos to four wins.

Atletico Madrid (2nd, 70 pts):

- Diego Simeone's troops have recorded five wins in their last six outings, a run which has seen them draw themselves to within six points of Liga BBVA leaders, FC Barcelona.

- The Rojiblancos are the league's best travellers, having emerged victorious in 11 of their 16 away assignments.

- Atletico have managed just one win in their last six Liga BBVA visits to Espanyol, that triumph came back in the 2012/13 season when a solitary Raul Garcia strike was enough to seal victory.

What's on in Barcelona this weekend?

Sunday sees the Gracia district of the city celebrate the anniversary of the 1870 popular revolt known as the Revolta de les Quintes, an event which provides the visitor with the perfect opportunity to immerse themselves in Catalan culture.

You'll be able to catch the Castellers (human tower makers) in action as well as checking out some of the traditional sardana dancing. What's more, you can enjoy all of this without having to dip into your pocket even once. The celebratory parades are set to run between the Plaça de la Vila de Gracia and Plaça de la Revolucio, from where you'll be able to admire the Castells (human towers) in all of their glory. Meanwhile, the Parc de l'Espanya Industrial will be awash with music throughout the morning as the park plays host to the 18th edition of the Aplec de la Sardana de Sants festival.
